In Memoriam Pit Schubert

Pit Schubert passed away at the end of February. 

His many years of involvement with the UIAA Safety Commission also as their president and as head of the DAV Safety Commission have been reflected above all in the world-famous UIAA standards for mountaineering equipment.
This has made it possible for mountaineers and mountain rescuers worldwide to use high-quality equipment. This has also had a strong positive influence on safety in mountain rescue operations worldwide.

The delegates of the Terrestrial Rescue Commission could learn from his expierence in many meetings and practical events with him.
